Martin loved playing his guitars and singing. He helped anyone whenever he could. He had such a big heart. His belief in God carried him through life. He was loved by many and will be greatly missed.

He was predeceased by: his wife Leonor Chavez; his parents, Joe Cruz Chavez Sr. and Cecilia Olivarez Chavez; his grandson Marty Anthony Chavez.
He is survived by: his children, Marty Chavez, Ted Chavez, Daniel Chavez (wife Melissa), Nathan Chavez, Dawnella Rieg (partner Ron), and Caroline Ramirez (husband Robert). He is also survived by 12 grandchildren.

A private viewing was held March 18, 2021 at Compassion Mortuary. Thanks to all you helped, donated gifts, and supplied food for the family.
