He was predeceased by: his parents, Lee Boardwine and Vera Boardwine; and his son Billy Hyer. He is survived by: his wife Maxine; his sister-in-law Sue Jacques-Zeman; his children, Clyde (Nancy), Johnny (Melissa), Cynthia Vick and Pam White (Jim); and his grandchildren, Kelli Purrington, Catharine Embrey, Brandon Rodriguez, Joaquin Rodriguez, Sonnia Cassidy, William Hyer, Lisha Hyer and Ashley Noel. He is also survived by 17 great grandchildren.
