He was predeceased by: his parents, Roman Sanchez and Florinda Salsberry; his son Steve; his siblings, Orlando, Mauricio, Madalena and Cynthia Vanderwall; and his daughter-in-law Ruby Romo-Sanchez.
He is survived by: his wife Oralia Chavez-Sanchez; his children, Ernest Sanchez (Joyce Hoff-Sanchez), James Sanchez (Eustoila), Janice Sanchez-Bernal, Lisa Sanchez and Cheri Sanchez-Hamilton (Brian Hamilton); and his siblings, Fredy, Brazel, Luvin, Roman, Delfinia Vega, Flora Vega and Geraldine Montes. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren.
