He was predeceased by: his parents, Pedro Ortiz and Rita Ramirez Ortiz; his sisters, Lucy Salaiz and Velia Ortiz; his son Sammy Ray Ortiz; and his grandchildren, Nichole Ortiz and David Ortiz, Jr..
He is survived by: his wife Mariana; his children, Pete Ortiz Jr. (Yvette) of San Lorenzo, Michael Ortiz of Las Vegas, NV, David Ortiz (Elizabeth) of Silver City and Melissa Ortiz of Silver City; and his siblings, Robert Ortiz of San Lorenzo and Dolores Torres (Jerry) of California. He is also survived by 21 grandchildren and 33 great grandchildren.
Due to Covid-19 restrictions, only 25% of St. Vincent De Paul Catholic Church capacity is allowed, face masks are required and social distancing is enforced.
