It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Esperanza Sosaya in Gila, New Mexico, who passed away on January 28, 2021, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Miguel Garcia and Bruna Garcia of Santa Rita, NM.. She is survived by: her husband Richard Sosaya; her children, Richard Sosaya Jr. and Debra Sosaya-Nevarez (Joe) of Silver City; her siblings, Santiago Garcia (Maria), Manuel Garcia (Terry) of Bayard, Mary Marin and Carmen Garcia of Bayard; her siblings-in-law, Magdalena Garcia, Consuelo Garcia, Patti Topete (Jesus), Rosie Geffs, Rita Sosaya of Washington, Robert Sosaya (Patsy), Johnny Sosaya (Lucy), Mariano Sosaya and Alex Sosaya (Natalia); and her goddaughter Isabel Varela. She is also survived by Numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
