He was predeceased by: his wife Ida Mae "Garcia" Baca; his parents, Narciso Baca, Sr. and Rachel "Candelaria" Griego; his stepfather Adelino Griego; and his sister Beatrice Leyba.
He is survived by: his children, Joseph Baca, Jr. (Tonya) of Thoreau and Antoinette Woods (James) of Gallup; and his brothers, Narciso Baca, Jr. of Gallup, Tommy Griego of Denver and Mark Griego of Albuquerque. He is also survived by 7 Grandchildren and 2 Great Grandchildren.
