He was predeceased by: his parents, George Rufus Cole and Josephine Mabel Moody; his wife Susie Violet Tillotson; and his siblings, Bernard Cole, Walter Cole, Joseph Cole, Gertrude Reed and Myrtle Sinclair.

He is survived by: his siblings, Claude Cole and Ethel of Maine; and his children, David Cole (Crystal), Susan Bybee (Randy), Lynette Neeld and Michael Cole (Laurie). He is also survived by 19 grandchildren, 45 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-granddaughter.
