Opal Peters Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Opal Peters of Fort Sumner, New Mexico, who passed away on November 6, 2022, at the age of 102, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Mattie Bell Chaney and Daniel Oscar Jones; her husband LaMoyne Peters; and also, Chloe Peters and Tyler Armstrong.
She is survived by: her daughter Glenda Armstrong (Leslie) of Fort Sumner, NM.; her grandchildren, Renee (Kevin Grant), Tanya Bequette (Landon Stevens) and Lynden Armstrong (Noah Cohen); and her great grandchildren, Kyra, Justin Monzingo of Fort Sumner, Rhett, Makayla Grant of Amarillo, TX, Kenzie Bequette and Kagan Bequette of Fort Sumner, NM.. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, students, and friends.
