He was predeceased by: his parents, William Franks (Bill) and Faye Franks; and his siblings, William R. Franks (Rous) and Vida Pruitt. He is survived by: his wife Bobbie; his children, Dona (Pat Andreas) of Fort Sumner and Danny Franks of Fort Sumner; his grandchildren, Amanda (Adam Essenmacher) of Pond Creek, OK, Richard (Robin Andreas) of Amarillo, TX and James (Amy Andreas) of Roswell, NM.; his great grandchildren, Garrett (Iris Andreas) of Amarillo, TX, Maddyson Andreas of Amarillo, TX, Cambria Andreas of Clovis, NM, Jalene, Blaed Andreas of Roswell, NM and Lilly Essenmacher of Pond Creek, OK.; and his sister Adie (Tyson Achen) of Las Cruces, NM.. He is also survived by many cousins, nephews, and nieces.
He served over 25 years on the New Mexico Governor's Mansion Foundation.
