It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Denzel Finney (Fort Sumner, New Mexico), born in Petersburg, Texas, who passed away on May 6, 2023, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his siblings, Alton Lester Finney, Kenneth Dale Finney, Kelly Eugene Finney and Vonna Lee Gilbert; and his grandson Joshua Kenyon.
He is survived by: his wife Annie Mae Finney; his children, Darla Mae Teague (David) of Lubbock, TX, Peggy Sue Finney of Fort Sumner, Herbert Ray Finney (Pauline) of Fort Sumner, Denzel Leroy Finney of Muleshoe, TX and Kelly Gene Finney of Fort Sumner; and his brother Larry Wayne Finney (Scharilyn) of Dewey, Oklahoma.. He is also survived by numerous grandkids, nieces, nephews, good friends and neighbors.
