It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Jacquelyn Schlageter in Fort Stanton, New Mexico, born in Cleveland, Ohio, who passed away on October 29, 2024, at the age of 73, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank Hatvany and Delores Hatvany; her son John Michael Schlageter; her in-laws, Glenn and Marion Schlageter; her nephews, Bobby Moon and Stephen Hatvany; her sister Carolyn Vinca; her sister-in-law Susie Schlageter; her brother Richard Hatvany (Rosemary); and her nephew-in-law David Hartline.
She is survived by: her husband George "Jack"; her children, Melissa Schlageter and Fred Jackson Schlageter (Kim); her sister Marilyn Hatvany; her siblings-in-law, Jimmy Schlageter (Karen), David Schlageter (Lynn) and Rosa Moon (Bob); her nephew Chandler Moon; her great-nephew Dakota; her great-niece Alexis; and her nieces, Ann Hartline and Cheryl Winters.
A funeral service was held on Tuesday, November 5th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the First Baptist Church (314 10th St, Carrizozo, NM 88301). A burial was held on Wednesday, November 6th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Fort Stanton State Veteran Cemetery (1398 NM-220, Fort Stanton, NM 88323).
