He is survived by: his fiancée Debi Martinez; his father Sonny Shorty, Sr.; his siblings, Sonny Shorty, Jr., Geneva McConnell (Joseph), Priscilla Shorty, Brenda Castillo and Josephine Shorty; his nieces and nephews, Aaron, Stephen (Kiana), Sonny III, Ashley (Ryan), Victoria, Alexis (Nate) and Natrielle; his great grandchildren, Mason Castillo, Oriah Fulton, Sophia Martinez, Matt Martinez and Mia Martinez; and his pet Ginger Roxy Shorty.
