It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Rita Merrion (Farmington, New Mexico), born in Las Animas, Colorado, who passed away on February 1, 2020, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Fred Meter and Josephine Van Meter; her children, Greg Merrion (Susan) of Farmington, Mike Merrion (Jill) of Scottsdale, Mark Merrion of Aztec, Neil Merrion (Patti) of Farmington and Anne Merrion of Phoenix; her grandchildren, Britta Bleichrodt (Andrew), Ryan, Samantha (Jeff Higgins), Tori (Ryan Thomas Walsh), Sara Lyn, Hannah, Molly, Ned, Eliza Merrion and Holly Sandoval; and her great grandchildren, Lucia, Rita Bleichrodt and Makena Hutton.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Sacred Heart School Foundation, 414 N. Allen Ave. in Farmington.
