He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Charles August Almquist and Hulda Matilda Carlson; his wife Bettie Lou King; his daughters, Sharlie Ann, Claire Marie "Mitzie" Almquist and Suzan Lee Oran (Haluk); and his stepchildren, Karen Wiley (Eric) and Brian Smartt (Nikki). He was also cherished by twelve grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
