She was predeceased by: her parents, Ottis Henderson Jennings and Mollie Thelma Tucker Jennings. She is survived by: her husband Sam Smouse; her children, Harry Smouse (Ruth) and Dawn Dee Waldron (Sonny); her stepson Richard Krueger (Diane); her grandchildren, Allison Sheets, Jesse Waldron, Thibaut Van of Velde and Gabriel Krueger; her pet Smoky; and her siblings, James Jennings (Diane), David Jennings, Elsie Chavez (Joe) and Mary Cupp (Lonnie). She is also survived by 14 nieces and nephews, plus a host of friends.
