It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Maria Merced Atilona Jaquez (Farmington, New Mexico), born in Gallina, New Mexico, who passed away on July 19, 2022, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Serigo Chacón and Adelina Chacón; her husband Pete; her granddaughter Jennifer Barnett; and her siblings, Eufemia Jaquez and Joe Chacón.
She is survived by: her daughters, Cathy, Linda, Imelda, Rita, Janette and Ruby; and her siblings, Maryann Maestas, Delma Cordova, Vangie Valdez, Cosmé Chacón, Fulgencio Chacón and JB Chacón. She is also survived by grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandaughter.
