Josie left this world on April 11, 2025 at the age of 93, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. In the sacred silence of farewell, Josie is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that her light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of her loved ones. She was predeceased by: her parents, Juan P. Valdez and Maria A. Valdez; her husband Bernardo Sanchez, Jr.; and her son Benjamin E. Sanchez. She is survived by: her children, Oracio Bernardo Sanchez, Anita B. Sanchez, Epifanio F. Sanchez, Gregory A. Sanchez, Joe J. Sanchez and Patricio W. Sanchez. She is also survived by Mom had seven grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren.
A rosary was held on Monday, April 21st 2025 at 6:00 PM and on Tuesday, April 22nd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A Mass was held on Tuesday, April 22nd 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Saint Mary's Catholic Church (2100 E 20th St, Farmington, NM 87401).
