He was predeceased by: his parents, Descheenie Begay and Irene Bitani; his wife Laurena Werito Begay; his daughter Jacquelynn Werito Atole; his brother Danny Benally; his grandparents, Genevieve Bitani and Hosteen Bitani; and his granddaughter Tyeshea Atole Yazzie.
He is survived by: his children, Marvin Begay (Delia) and Kimberly Yazzie (Orlando); his grandchildren, Tashia Chavez (Delbert), Shawnnia Atole (Jazzmarae), Ivan Atole III (Amanda), Marques Yazzie, Micah Yazzie (Kassandra), Autumn Begay and Chloe Begay; and his great grandchildren, MeKenzie Chavez, Sean Chavez and MeKayla Chavez.
A funeral service was held on Friday, November 29th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Time Has Come Ministries (400 E Gladden Dr, Farmington, NM 87401). A burial was held on Friday, November 29th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the St. Luke's Cemetery. A reception was held on Friday, November 29th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Carson Living Water Assembly of God.
