Betty Townsend Obituary
We are sad to announce that on August 27, 2023, at the age of 83, Betty Townsend of Farmington, New Mexico, born in Odessa, Texas passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, James Bennett Nance and Evelyn Weems Woosley; her husband Alan Sherrill Platt; her former husband Lester Townsend; her daughters, Deborah Carol Skorepa of Plano, Margaret Evelyn Edmonds and Julie Kay Baird (Steve) of Farmington, NM; her brother James Bennett Nance II (Norma); her cousin Patricia Bailey; and her son-in-law Steve Baird. She was also cherished by 5 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and three grand fur babies.
