It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Bette Lou Coury in Farmington, New Mexico, born in El Paso, Texas, who passed away on July 30, 2024, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, James Savely and Beatrice B. Rector; her husband John J. Coury Sr.; and her grandson Beau James Gary. She is survived by: her children, Mary Gary, Chris Coury and Jim Coury (Candace); her grandchildren, Raven Goswick (Sam), Tiffani Roberts (Brian), James Coury and Brittani Coury; and her great grandchildren, Jake, Erica, Brianne Roberts and Madison Gary.

“Mary, Jim and Chris. Hedy just found out about Bette's passing and let me know. I hope you and families are all doing okay as you grieve her loss. Bette had a rich life. I'm glad she identified with the Douglass cousins when we had our reunion in ABQ years ago. I always enjoyed our few visits. I had sent a text to the number I had for Mary. I don't know if it's still a current contact number. Take care and know that my thoughts and prayers are with you.”
