She was predeceased by: her parents, Narciso Valdez and Alcarita Valdez; her son Edward Gallegos; her son-in-law Benjamin Lopez; and her sister Flora of Colorado.

She is survived by: her husband Henry Garcia; her children, Eileen Mondragon and Steve Gallegos; her stepdaughters, Tricia Baca and LeeAnn Lopez; her sons-in-law, Jerry Mondragon and Daniel Baca; her siblings, Jerome Valdez and Beatrice Rangel; her great grandchild Amarii; and her brother Jordan. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.

Viewing was held on Thursday, January 23rd 2025 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Rivera Family Funerals & Cremations of Espanola (305 Cll Salazar, Española, NM 87532). A rosary was held on Thursday, January 23rd 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A Mass was held on Friday, January 24th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Holy Cross Church.
