He was predeceased by: his son Michael Romero; his father Bernardo Romero (Mother Alta Gracia); and his siblings, Esperanza, Abelina Romero, Pedro and Juan Romero.
He is survived by: his wife Rosalita "Sheila" Romero; his daughters, Palmita Romero (Saul) and Ernestina Romero (Santiago); his grandchildren, Miguel Romero (Andrea), Humberto Parra (Irie), Ivan Romero, Santana Dominguez, Faith Dominguez, Estrella Dominguez, Santiago Dominguez and Esperanza Dominguez; his sister-in-law Pauline Lopez; his niece Daniella Carmona; and his friend Yvette Serrano. He is also survived by many other relatives and friends.
