He was predeceased by: his father Walter Stroop Sr.; his brother Walter Stroop II; and his grandparents, Terasita, Manuel Atencio, Noel and Rose Stroop.
He is survived by: his close friend Ceceila Harrington; his mother Rose Salazar; his brother Anthony Stroop (Elthea Chavez); his aunts, Cecelia Aquino, Francess Pacheco and Erestine Glock; his uncle Tom Atencio; his niece Norma Barela (Albert Rodriguez); his nephews, James Anthony Barela-Fernandez (Elijah Fernandez-Barela), Walter Stroop III, Aaron Stroop and Adrain Stroop; his great-niece Penelope Rodriguez; his great-nephew Albert Jr. Rodriguez; his sister Ceana Gallegos; and his sister-in-law Anna Barela (Jacob Olivas). He is also survived by numerous relatives and friends.
