With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Magdalena M. Chavez of Espanola, New Mexico, born in Canjilon, New Mexico, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on April 25, 2024 at the age of 91. She was predeceased by: her husband Arthur W. Chavez; her parents, Cristobal Martinez and Ascencion Martinez; and her siblings, Adela Trujillo, Tevano Martinez (Jaun), Olijia Abeyta, Mabel Velasquez, Cordelia Williams, Clyde Martinez and Willie Martinez.
She is survived by: her sister Bonnie Borrego; her children, Loretta Evans (Gary), Dennis Chavez (Susan), Lena Sikes and Arthur Chavez (Renee); her grandchildren, Justin Evans, Kendra Evans, Kenna Yalcin, Jared Evans, Nathan Chavez and Kyle Chavez; and her great grandchildren, Justin Evans, Alaina Evans, Eleanor Evans, Bentley Evans, Ava Evans and Trenton Yalcin.
