With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Bernadette Vigil-Velasquez (Espanola, New Mexico), who passed away on December 2, 2021 at the age of 59. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her father Reynal A. Vigil; her grandparents, Porfirio, Ramoncita Vigil, Juan I and Petra Gutierrez; and the father of her child Paul Martinez.

She is survived by: her mother Minnie Vigil of Guachupangue; her husband Rick Velasquez; her son Aaron Martinez of Espanola; her siblings, Jeanette Sanchez of Pojoaque Pueblo, Annette Vigil Lujan of Guachupangue and Timothy Vigil (Dianna) of Rio Rancho; her aunts, Gloria Garcia (John), Lois De La Cruz (Derek), Genevieve Gutierrez and Thelma Talachy (Joe) of Pojoaque Pueblo; and her uncle Tony Gutierrez (Juanita). She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives.
