She was predeceased by: her son Junior Lucero; and her parents, Frank Chavez and Dolores Chavez (Lola). She is survived by: her husband Jose Elijio Lucero; her children, Christine and Ernest (Brenda); her grandchildren, Felicity (Press), Emmanuel, Joseph (Tracey) and Melanie; and her siblings, Tito Chavez (Eileen), Alfonso Chavez (Maggie), Lou Archuleta, Oralia Chavez, Albertina Chavez and Juanita Pino (Nick). She is also survived by her great-grandchildren whom she adored, and many nieces and nephews.
The Lucero family would like to offer a special thanks to the staff at BeeHive Homes for the love and support they extended to "Miss Emma and her family. Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, services will be held at a later date.
