With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Mary Perea of Edgewood, New Mexico, born in Albuquerque, New Mexico, who passed away on January 27, 2022 at the age of 90. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Felix Chavez and Priscilla Chavez (Zamora); her husband Manuel R. Perea; and her grandsons, Andrew Patrick Salas and Caleb Sisneros.

She is survived by: her children, Manuel Perea (Rosemary) of Albuquerque, NM, Sonny Perea (Marie) of Albuquerque, NM, John Perea of Edgewood, NM, Mike Perea (Diane) of Albuquerque, NM, Kathy Perea of Aurora, CO, Elizabeth Salas of Albuquerque, NM, Sandra Sisneros (David) of Santa Rosa, NM and Priscilla Perea of Edgewood, NM; her brother Eddie Chavez; her stepbrothers, Anthony Hernandez and Joe Hernandez; her sister Jennie Casado; and her stepsisters, Tina Velarde and Helen Barela. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren.
