She was predeceased by: her parents, Gregorio Nevarez and Carmela Coronado; her siblings, Ignacio Paez and Gabina Casillas; and her daughter Carmen Nevarez.
She is survived by: her children, Maria-Emma Casillas (Peter) and Luisa Nevarez (Abraham); her siblings, Blas Nevarez, Sara Mireles (Mario), Guadalupe Amaya (Rene) and Chelito Casillas (Arturo); and her close friend Javier Ruiz. She is also survived by 5 grandchildren.
Viewing was held on Monday, November 4th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Baca's Funeral Chapel (811 S Gold Ave, Deming, NM 88030). A rosary was held on Monday, November 4th 2024 at 6:00 PM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Tuesday, November 5th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Saint Ann's Catholic Church (400 S Ruby St, Deming, NM 88030). A committal service was held on Tuesday, November 5th 2024 at 12:15 PM at the Mountain View Cemetery (3410 E Pine St, Deming, NM 88030).
