He is survived by: his wife Maria G. Chavez Herrera; his sons, Rodolfo Tafoya (Alma) and Carlos Tafoya (Eunice Luque); and his sisters, Aurora Martinez (Eduardo), Lidia Saenz and Martha Montaño. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
