It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ramon Payan Altamirano of Deming, New Mexico, who passed away on April 5, 2025, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Apolonio Altamirano and Teresa Altamirano (Payan); and his wife Pilar Altamirano. He is survived by: his children, Manuel Altamirano (Lori), Ramon Altamirano, Jesus Altamirano, Trinidad Altamirano, Irma Juarequi (Richard), Guillermina Macias (Guerrero) and Theresa Black (Greg). He is also survived by 16 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.
Viewing was held on Friday, April 11th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Baca's Funeral Chapel (811 S Gold Ave, Deming, NM 88030). A rosary was held on Friday, April 11th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Friday, April 11th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Saint Ann's Catholic Church (400 S Ruby St, Deming, NM 88030). A committal service was held on Friday, April 11th 2025 at 4:15 PM at the Mountain View Cemetery (3410 E Pine St, Deming, NM 88030).
