He is survived by: his parents, Manuel Vargas and Alice B. Vargas; his wife Anne S. Rothwell; his brothers, David and Paul (Endi); his mother-in-law Henrietta B. Rothwell; and his brothers-in-law, Gideon Franklin (Anita) and John Duncan of Marje, M. D.. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
