He was predeceased by: his parents, Joaquin Veleta and Dolores Valdiviez; and his siblings, Tomas, Evangelina, Martha and Josefina Veleta.

He is survived by: his wife Maria E. Veleta; his children, Manuel Veleta (Erika), Joaquin Veleta, Narcisa Escareño (Francisco), Lucia Wyman (Andrew) and Evangelina Veleta (Brian Suarez); and his siblings, Joaquin, Mario, Rosalia, Bertaluz, Leticia and Hortencia Veleta. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren, and his many extended family and friends.
