He was predeceased by: his parents, Teofilo Tapia and Seferina Tapia (Estrada); his daughter Mary Lou Tapia; and his brothers, Cruz Tapia, Lencho Tapia and Arturo Tapia.
He is survived by: his wife Rosa Pacheco Tapia of Deming, NM; and his children, Antonio Tapia (Olga) of Deming, NM, Albert Tapia (Maria) of Gilbert, AZ, Gilbert Tapia of Laveen, AZ and Sally Ann Natalino (Anthony) of Phoenix, AZ. He is also survived by five grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, April 2nd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Terrazas Funeral Chapel (901 S Pearl St, Deming, NM 88030). A funeral Mass was held on Wednesday, April 2nd 2025 from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM at the St. Ann's Catholic Church (400 S Ruby St, Deming, NM 88030). A burial was held on Wednesday, April 2nd 2025 from 12:45 PM to 1:30 PM at the Mountain View Cemetery (3410 E Pine St, Deming, NM 88030).
