He was predeceased by: his parents, Mervin Strout and Joanna Strout (Clark); his son Stewart; his grandson Blake; his great grandchild Avery; and also Bob Simpson.
He is survived by: his brother Duane Strout of Pensacola, Florida; his children, Leah Simpson of Las Cruces, Lorraine Casto (Keith) of Oxnard, Thomas Strout of Deming and Fred Strout (Racheal) of Rayne, Louisiana; his grandchildren, Patrick Scoggins, Amanda Scoggins, Joanna Dunphy (Patrick), Kayla Strout, Joshua Leon-Strout, Dennis, Kassandra and Stephen Strout; his great grandchildren, Lotyss Pino, Saylor Leon-Strout, Colin and Emery Dunphy; his sisters-in-law, Mary Brennan (Naughton) and Judith Pangburn (Fickett); and his wife Joyce. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins.
A memorial service was held on Saturday, March 8th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Bethel Baptist Church (700 S 8th St, Deming, NM 88030).
Donations may be made in his memory to Bethel Baptist Church or the First Baptist Church of Harrington, Maine.
