He is survived by: his sons, Orlando Chavez (Pamela Torres) of Cubero and Samuel Chavez Jr.; his wife Rebecca Chavez of Albuquerque; his daughters, Francine Aguilar (John) of Cubero and Brenda Chavez of Cubero; his siblings, Eduardo Chavez, Florenio Chavez, George Chavez Jr. and Lucy Nation; and also James Chavez of Cubero. He is also survived by several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins as well as other family members and friends.
