It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Rogeria Olivas (Cuba, New Mexico), born in La Jara, New Mexico, who passed away on August 5, 2021, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Fidencio Olivas; her parents, Trivinio Gutierrez and Paulita Gutierrez; her son Victor Olivas; and her sisters, Leonila (Cathy) and Rafelita.
She is survived by: her great-grandparent D'Anna Rodriguez; her children, Lucinda White (Terry), Christina Sprague-Evans (Dan), Carolyn Marquez (Manuel), Rick Olivas (Ruth), Larry Olivas, Sally Powell (Lorenzo), Valentina Akamine, Gina Powell (Tony), Jerry Johnson (Mary), Veronica Olivas and Martin Olivas (Shannon); and her siblings, Ramon Gutierrez (Lanette), Irene Estrada, Olivia Arredondo, Felix Gutierrez (Julia), Florentino Gutierrez (Wanda) and Sosteno Gutierrez (Bridgette). She is also survived by 37 grandchildren; and 32 great-grandchildren.
