He was predeceased by: his parents, Maria Maestas and Margarito Maestas; his wife Anita G. Lovato; and his daughter Loretta T. Jaramillo. He is survived by: his son-in-law Denis Jaramillo; his children, Joe A. Lovato (Elizabeth), Molly Chavez, Sandra Romero (Robert) and David Lovato (Frances); and his brother Kelo Salazar. He is also survived by fourteen grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, god children, cousins and friends.
