He was predeceased by: his parents, Ines Cortez and Maria Trinidad Ramirez. He is survived by: his wife Juanita Cortez; his children, Marissa Isela Linck (James) of Roswell, NM, Evangeline Miller (Scotty) of North Carolina, Sofia Nolte (Richie) of Houston, TX, Angie Cortez of Roswell, NM, Valarie Ann Cortez-Soliz (Juan) of Clovis, NM and Valentin Cortez of Atlanta; and his sisters, Sofia Grado (Auden) and Socoro. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild.
Visitation was held on Monday, November 4th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the The Chapel (1500 N Thornton St, Clovis, NM 88101, USA). A rosary was held on Monday, November 4th 2024 at 6:00 PM at the same location. A Mass was held on Tuesday, November 5th 2024 at 10:30 AM at the Our Lady of Guadalupe Church (108 Davis St, Clovis, NM 88101).
