He was predeceased by: his parents, Floyd Earl Bowen and Merle Helen Stein; and his brother Larry B. Bowen. He is survived by: his wife Linda M. Black-Bowen; his stepsons, Charles A. Hill (Sandra) and Lloyd Wayne Hill (Christy); his nieces, Julie Bockover (Mike) and Jan Collinson (Mike); and his cousin Rosalind Lee Saigeon. He is also survived by five grandkids, seven great grandkids.
