He is survived by: his daughter Karen Van Ruiten; his son-in-law Jacob Van Ruiten; his grandchildren, Zach Smith (Chantel Ferguson), Riley Van Ruiten, Joseph Van Ruiten and Katie Van Ruiten; and his great grandchildren, Kinsley and Kacie Smith.
