He was predeceased by: his mother Rodica Gavrilei; and his brother Ilie Macovei. He is survived by: his wife Lori Riggins of Clovis, NM; his children, Raul Macovei and Laura Macovei; his siblings, Angela Mihaela Matei of Craiova, Romania, Aurelian Macovei of Norway and Taran Mihai of Fundi Moldovei; and his father Alexander of Lubbock, Texas.. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, step daughters and sons, a granddaughter and grandson and many cousins, aunts and uncles.
