He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Columbus Tate and Sarah Jane Pope; and his siblings, Levi Tate, Clarence Tate, Cordelia and Bertha Isom.
He is survived by: his wife Maxine Tate; his son Gary Tate (Patti Ancira) of Clovis, NM; and his grandchildren, Crystal Tate, Courtney Tate, Wesley Longo (Nancy) and Chuckie Longo Angela Werner (Aaron). He is also survived by 11 grandchildren, and 6 great-grandchildren.
A memorial service was held on Friday, April 4th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Kingswood Methodist Church (2600 N Main St, Clovis, NM 88101).
