He is survived by: his wife Betty Gonzales; his children, Michael (Lynette Gonzales) of Albuquerque, Connie (Marcus Loyd) of Texico, NM and Kathleen (Wesley Lockwood) of Clovis, NM; his grandchildren, Mathew Bodine of Peoria, AZ, Michael Bodine of Peoria, AZ, Gaby Borden of Grady, NM, Samy Durbin of Albuquerque, NM, Ollie Gonzales of Albuquerque, NM and Maddie Gonzales of Albuquerque, NM; and his siblings, George Gonzales (Ruby) of Fort Sumner, Steve Gonzales of Fort Sumner, Mary Ann Delgado (Rito) of Roswell and Melba Torres (Alex) of Roswell. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many close friends.
A rosary was held on Saturday, February 8th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the Saint Anthony Catholic Church (443 Richards St, Fort Sumner, NM 88119). A funeral Mass was held on Saturday, February 8th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, February 8th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the Fort Sumner Cemetery (1120 Mc Cabe St, Fort Sumner, NM 88119).
