She was predeceased by: her parents, Kersey Funk and Tempie Funk (Southard); her husband W. F. Whatley; and her son Steve. She is survived by: her daughters, Katie Lard (Ronald Lard) and Mary Rohr. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
