Winfield Scott Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Winfield Scott of Clayton, New Mexico, who passed away on March 25, 2025 at the age of 100. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Parrish Sydney Scott and Verna Maddie Scott (Stubblefield); his wife Edna Okanee Scott (Hale); his brothers, Lawrence A. Scott of Randolph Tom and Anson Scott; his children, Anona "Pat" Gonzales and Bill Bowman; his son-in-law Ernest Gonzales; and his grandson Nicholas Scott Gonzales.
He is survived by: his siblings, James Claude Scott and Elmadene Fay Kropp (Scott); his sister-in-law Shirley Scott; and his grandchildren, Tammy Gonzales, Michelle Sisneros (Max), Ernest Gonzales (Sharon) and Billy Gonzales (Annette). He is also survived by 30 great-grandchildren and 8 great-great-grandchildren.
A funeral service was held on Monday, March 31st 2025 at 2:00 PM at the First Baptist Church (223 Oak St, Clayton, NM 88415).
