He was predeceased by: his parents, Procopio Martinez and Emilia Martinez (Padilla); and his siblings, Victoria Maes, Higino Martinez of Max Martinez, J. B, Leopoldo Martinez, Manuel Martinez and Procopio Martinez, Jr..
He is survived by: his son Gene Martinez (Rebecca) of Clayton; and his grandchildren, Norma Endres of Albuquerque, Gene Martinez of Clayton, Rory Martinez (Lori Valdez) of Clayton, Sean Martinez (Ashlee) of Clayton, Sandra Martinez of Maryland and James D. Martinez (Tracy) of Lubbock. He is also survived by 14 Great-Grandchildren 3 Great-Great-Grandchildren.
