With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Norbert Marquez of Clayton, New Mexico, born in Des Moines, New Mexico, who passed away on December 21, 2022 at the age of 93. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Juan F. Marquez and Clarita Marquez (Garcia); his siblings, Nash Marquez, Elmer Marquez and Mary Grace Martinez; and his daughter-in-law Ginger Marquez.
He is survived by: his children, Julie Marquez of Clayton, Diana Johnson (Stan) of Tuscaloosa, Sandra Wakitsch (Scott) of El Paso, Anthony Marquez of Dalhart, Benjamin Jimenez of Clayton and Vincent Jimenez of Clayton; his brothers, Joe T. Marquez of Des Moines, Joe Ben Marquez of Dalhart and Johnny Marquez of Dumas, Texas.; his grandchildren, Sherina (Zach Bickel) of Clayton, Dawnia Marquez of Clayton, Danny Pelayo of Clayton, Isabella Jimenez of Albuquerque, Michael Jimenez of Albuquerque, Kira Kingsley of Ofallon, Joasin Jimenez of Acapulco Mexico, Natalie (Lewie Colon) of Smyrna, Georgia, Christina (Nomi Ahmed) of Tuscaloosa and MyraShea Makalynn Paige Wakitsch of Lake Stevens, Washington.; and his great grandchildren, Zoe, Zerek Bickel, John, Nathan Clores, Caleb Shroyer, Aleem, Sameer, Adeem and Saheem Ahmed. He is also survived by his family, friends, neighbors.
