She was predeceased by: her father Jose Gonzales; her husband Melvin Barreras; her daughter Darlene Ortiz-Martinez; her mother Carlota Gonzales-Padilla; her stepfather Mathias Padilla; her siblings, Joe Gonzales, Sammy Gonzales, Della Elkins (Elmer), Delores Yoder (Jim) and Anita Archuleta (Manuel); and her brother-in-law Joe Escobedo.
She is survived by: her grandchildren, Erica Danielle Barreras and Baby Danny Ortiz; her great grandchild Everleigh Danielle Barreras; her children, Melvin Barreras, Michael Barreras, David Barreras (Scarlot) and Carlota Ulibarri (Matthew); her grandchildren, Vera Dawn Ortiz, Brandi Ortiz, Mark Barreras (Kayla) and Domionna Ulibarri; her great grandchildren, Sierra, Aubrey and Jasmine Sandoval; her brother LeoRay Gonzales; her sibling-in-law Lupe; her sister Gina Escobedo; and her siblings-in-law, Helen Gonzales, Martin Barreras (Teresa) and Frances Barreras-Garcia (Pat). She is also survived by Many nieces, nephews and godchildren.
MEMORIALS: The family asks that in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to either the Baylor Scott and White Central Texas Foundation or to the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention.
