It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gilbert Jose Rael of Clayton, New Mexico, who passed away on January 6, 2025, at the age of 42, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his father Rudy Ralph Rael; and his sister LaNora Rose Rael. He is survived by: his mother Carmen Irene Rael (Lopez) of Clayton; his wife Ashley Chavez of Clayton; his children, Freddie Rael and Rudy Rael of Clayton; his siblings, Lola Rael of Clayton, Jospeh Coats (Linda) of Denver, Rudy Rael of Albuquerque and Teofilo Rael (Sandra) of Albuquerque; and his nieces and nephews, Simon Coats, Lena Daughtry, Marcos Rael, Aaron Coats, Joy Coats, Nathaniel Rael, Jordan Rael, Lanora "Bug" Rael, Leonardo Rael, Leonaul Rael, Isaiah Chavez, Aaliyah Chavez and Michael Chavez, III. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles and cousins.
A rosary was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 at 6:00 PM at the St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church (115 N 1st St, Clayton, NM 88415). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
