It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gail Kathryn Herrera of Clayton, New Mexico, who passed away on November 30, 2022, at the age of 69, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Leonard Borden Pogue and Agnes Pogue (Craine); her daughter Mary Elizabeth; her siblings-in-law, Emilio and Adelia Herrera; her sister Ruby Sanchez; her siblings-in-law, Vicky Herrera, Donna Pogue, Robert Evans, Michael Williams, Freddy Herrera and Johnny Vigil; and her grandson Thomas Romero, Jr..
She is survived by: her husband Tony Herrera of Clayton; her children, Patricia A. Herrera of Clayton, Connie Moncada of Amarillo, Toni "Sissy" Skaggs (Curtis) of Clayton, John Herrera of Clayton and Andrew Herrera (Angela Montoya); her grandchildren, Brandon Miera (Kayla Encinias), Savannah Miera, Victoria Miera, Annie Miera, Justice Miera, Angelyssa Miera, Samuel Miera, Jude Romero, Jaclyn Acosta (Fernando), Arnoldo Moncada (Beyonce), Anthony "Chico" Moncada, D'Angelo Herrera (McKinley), Nathaniel Herrera, Gabriella "Gabby" Herrera, Nicholas Martinez, Akira Herrera, Jacob Skaggs, Ashlee Skaggs, Kaylee Skaggs and Mia Pena; her great grandchildren, Marcus Acosta, Lucas Acosta and Danté Moncada; and her siblings, Evelyn Connor (John) of Amarillo, Donna Cruz (Frankie "Pancho") of Amarillo, Dorris Williams of Amarillo, Brenda Vigil of Clayton, Wayne Pogue of Pleasanton, Bryan Pogue of Clayton and Lewie Baker (Patty) of Clayton.
